Making the most of work-based learning
Work-based learning takes many forms, but all share the mission of investing in an employee for the long-term benefit of the firm. A firm’s approach to advancing the skills of new employees requires them to address certain questions that could make a difference in overall productivity. Should firms allow employees to practice through simulations or by doing real work? Should an apprenticeship be a matter of months or years?
