"Frankie. Let me ask you something. It concerns your report."

"Umm… sure, boss."

"A big bank lays off 5,000 staff, then weeks later posts huge profits. What would you do?"

"I'd query those job losses for starters."

"Explain!"

"Well, with all those profits, why the worker cull?"

"Wrong! With higher profits, why not fire more? 6…7,000!"

'?'

"Jeez! So that's what they mean by 'higher-fire'?"

"Now, redraft that report for Monday!"

'Sigh!'

The world can be a complex place. See how Frankie and his colleagues at Global.org grapple with the thorny public policy issues of our time, in this cartoon strip.
